Online Commercial Recycling Plan Registration

Business or commercial establishments are any premises not authorized to receive municipal trash and recycling collection services, or containing a unit used for non-residential purposes. Under District of Columbia (DC) law,     all businesses located in the District must submit a recycling plan every two years to the Department of Public Works (DPW), Office of Recycling.

The online Commercial Recycling Plan Registration tool allows District businesses and commercial establishments to automatically register and update their recycling plans with the DPW Office of Recycling over the internet. Filing your Commercial Recycling Plan is as easy as 1-2-3.
       1) Register for a user account.            This account will allow you to save the information on an incomplete application, or check the status of your request.
       2) Complete the Recycling Plan application.

       3) Submit.
The DPW Office of Recycling will respond to each application within 15 days of submittal.
